This is the desktop calendar wallpaper for the month of May 2012 which a picture of yellow tulips.  I thought it was appropriate for May because of the changing weather and when tulips bloom, it is a sign of spring for they are spring blooming perennials.  I love how tulips are so minimalistic in that there is only one flower per stem.  I find beauty in the smooth and clean lines of a tulip.  May is my birth month and also is a month of changing warm weather which leads us to the summer months.

I recently purchased a background stand and black background material, so I can shoot against black and my friend Ryan happened to come over and he agreed to doing a quick creative male portrait photo shoot.  I told him to do some yoga poses and this was warrior one but you couldn’t tell for his legs can’t be seen.  I was surprised how this photo turned out for I only used the light from the ceiling as my light source.

I’m still trying to figure out what to name this photo.  Please leave me your suggestions!  Thanks!

This is the desktop calendar wallpaper for the month of April 2012 which a picture of a couple in the rain in black and white with red umbrellas.  I took this picture in Shanghai, China and for some reason it is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken.  There is so much emotion of love, affection, and intimacy.  I know April is a rainy month in Toronto and most of North America, so I thought this month’s calendar was appropriate.  Though most people associate rain with sadness, this picture captures the simple moments enjoyed in the rain.  Hope you have an amazing beginning of spring!

This is a sample of a fashion portrait photo shoot I had with Dale M.whom I met on set at ‘Total Recall’ in the summer.  Though this is the second time he’s done a shoot, he was really easy to work with and he doesn’t consider himself a model but he has a lot of talents up his sleeve.

Currently, I am looking to do more shoots like this and it seems most of my clients lately have been males.  Is it a sign or something?

This is the desktop calendar wallpaper for the month of October 2011 which is a picture of a pink and green orchid.  We are in the last quarter of 2011 and have three months to pick up our feet and make the best of the year.  October also marks a couple of special occasions such as Thanksgiving in Canada and Hallowe’en.  Let’s make 2011 a year to remember for it is never to late to start today.

If you aren’t aware, October is breast cancer awareness month and is organized by major breast cancer charities to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise money for breast cancer research. I know a couple of people who have had the disease and family/friends of whom it has effected and I wanted to support the cause and spread awareness.

Breast cancer is the most frequent diagnosed cancer in Canadian women with an estimate of 23,200 woman and 5,300 deaths in 2011. (source: Canadian Cancer Society) If you are a woman between 50-69 years old, please get a mammogram every 2 years for detecting the disease early can save your life.

I hope you or your child’s back to school experience was wonderful and hope you have a great rest of the school year. This is a portrait of Gabrielle on our day in Brooklyn. I thought this child headshot was perfect for back to school for her T-shirt says it all. She is wearing my famous ‘Ray Charles’ glasses which I got for free from Clearly Contacts when I purchased my cheap contacts.

I really like taking toddler portraits for they are full of energy and fun to be around.  I realized this while taking my nephews portraits.  I look at my photography archive and realize how quickly kids grow up and just want to capture those moments.

The weather in Toronto today has been quite gloomy and gray and I just wanted to share some sunshine smiles portraiture of a child in Battery Park City.

Hope this cheers you up as it does for me. Look at it this way, you are probably done half your work week!

I can’t believe it has been a year since the photo shoot with Baby Ayrianna. She has turned 1 and her parents Joseph & Kerry invited me to capture her first birthday party. It seizes to amaze me how fast babies grow. I want to congratulate Joseph & Kerry on this memorable milestone of their family’s life.

The venue had great natural light with sky lights and large windows and I didn’t have to use my flash. The energy in the room was playful and fun with children running around and family/friends sharing this special moment. Enjoy!
